Costa Rica

Escape to the Rainforest

November 29 - December 7, 2024

renew・recharge・reset
with Karen Score & Michelle Pollard

Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. The hummingbird’s delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and laughter is life’s sweetest creation.

Experience the sweet sound of the hummingbird’s wings, along with the multitude of magical rainforest inhabitants in this bio-diverse ecosystem. Our hope is that, by immersing ourselves in this peaceful environment with such an immense variety of intelligent life—all of which living in a state of harmony—that we, too, can learn to live in harmony with one another and ourselves.

We invite you to join us in a jewel of the natural world, the Osa Peninsula. Located in southwestern Costa Rica with the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Golfo Dulce to the east, this small peninsula is home to at least half of all species living in Costa Rica! This area is also the largest primary forest on the American Pacific Coastline and it will be our home for a week!

During our time at Blue Osa, you’ll have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the calming serenity of a beach vacation, improve your mind and body while practicing yoga on a daily basis and eating organic, locally sourced healthy meals. You’ll fall into your natural circadian rhythm as you gently rise in the early morning to the sounds of the howler monkeys, songbirds and the sound of the waves lapping against the sandy beach. You’ll breathe in fresh, clean and deeply oxygenated air while in this jungle paradise. You can run, walk and play on the beach, participate in daily transformative yoga, pilates and strength-building classes with Michelle, swim laps or just relax at the pool, enjoy a delightful spa treatment, find space and time for quiet meditation, and open your heart to company and laughter of new friends — all for the encouragement and enhancement of your well-being.

And, of course, there is adventure too! You can choose to go zip lining, take a surfing lesson, go on a hike in the rainforest, seek out a waterfall and so much more!

This 7 night retreat includes one night at a boutique hotel in San Jose — a lovely place to land, catch your breath and for us to gather our group, followed by 6 nights at the beautiful Blue Osa Retreat Center. All airport transfers, flight to/from San Jose/Puerto Jimenez, all meals, daily yoga practice, a chocolate tour are included; and, most importantly, the opportunity to unwind, relax, reconnect and recharge so we can return home with the capacity to live in harmony, gratitude, acceptance, abundance and joy. You’ll return home feeling more vibrant, relaxed, healthy and alive — all important for sustaining you throughout the holidays and winter months ahead!

  • “I am recently retired and was introduced to this trip by a friend of mine. Traveling to Costa Rica during a pandemic? I was wary. This trip so well planned and organized through every detail that I now believe everyone I know should take part in a Grace in Nature excursion. I truly had an experience of a lifetime.

This was not an ordinary tour. I was allowed and encouraged to choose what I wanted on the itinerary without pressure or judgment. This freedom helped me to connect with nature, people and most of all myself. I am grateful for the opportunity to have shared such a wonderful experience with Karen and Gina, and the rest of the group. I recommend a Grace in Nature retreat without hesitation.” — A.S.

“I can’t say enough about my travels with Grace in Nature. Karen Score is the epitome of grace while attending to every last detail of the entire trip, beginning to end. After extensive research and knowledge from previous travel, Karen plans for a trip full of fun, education and relaxation. On top of all that her trips are very affordable, especially considering the high end accommodations I’ve enjoyed. Don’t think twice, book the very next trip offered by Grace in Nature.” — Extremely satisfied traveler, Carol Glansberg

“I booked my trip to Costa Rica with Grace in Nature. At the time, I did not know Karen or Gina or anyone else that was going on the trip. I just knew that I really needed to get away and the trip being offered sounded like just what I was looking for.

It’s hard to express in words just how much I loved this trip. I always felt safe and cared for. Karen and Gina could not have been nicer and the outings that included with the trip were exactly The kind of outings that I love. I learned so much about not only the local culture, but about myself. Everything was interesting. While feeling safe, I was allowed to explore outside of my comfort zone with new experiences. I made new friends because the other people on the trip were like minded, kind, outgoing people. I feel as though I have made lifelong friends with some of them.

You can make of these trips what you want; you can try everything and be very adventurous, or you can hang back and relax and just enjoy the beauty. I cannot wait for my next adventure with this group and with Karen and Gina through Grace in Nature. I highly recommend any of the trips they offer!” — MB FADER
