Whatever the adventure, we ensure you will always be well taken care of.
In September 2023, I went to Portugal with Grace in Nature (Karen Score). It was a wonderful experience and the trip was more than I could have ever imagined. I did not have to worry about any details because Karen meticulously planned every aspect of the retreat. If there were any glitches it never was apparent in Karen’s demeanor. Her assistance with choosing flights and packing were spot on. The private accommodations at the villa were exceptional, comfortable and clean. We had our own professional chef at the villa and the food was delicious, fresh, and healthy. Every meal was picture worthy! Jonathan and his staff were amazing. Karen’s excursions were private, unique, enjoyable and well planned. I was fortunate to have Gina and Lynn on this trip. Gina's expertise in wellness (and fun!) was a bonus. Her yoga and Ayurveda sessions were relaxing, informative, and thought provoking. Lynn's travel experience and humor were certainly appreciated. I felt comfortable with every retreat member. There was definitely a group connection and we had so many laughs! We are still conversing on What’s App too.
Karen has a skillful and quiet way of bringing people together. Her passion for people and her experience with travel is why I would trust Grace in Nature Retreats to plan my next vacation. If you want to travel and spend your time enjoying the trip, Karen is the person to contact. Thank you, Karen. It was a trip that I will always remember.

“Grace in Nature, LLC / Karen Score’s trip to Portugal exceeded my expectations. Karen came highly recommended and did not disappoint. From the accommodations to our own personal chef and wonderful healthy food she assured that all our needs were met. I loved not having to plan or worry about anything and taking advantage of the beautiful sights and scenery of Portugal. Gina started our day off right with daily yoga. She was amazingly good at providing a yoga experience that met the whole groups needs. If you want a healthy, relaxed travel experience without the hassle of planning all the details you are in excellent hands with Karen. I hope to plan my next destination soon.”

“I am recently retired and was introduced to this trip by a friend of mine. Traveling to Costa Rica during a pandemic? I was wary. This trip so well planned and organized through every detail that I now believe everyone I know should take part in a Grace in Nature excursion. I truly had an experience of a lifetime.
This was not an ordinary tour. I was allowed and encouraged to choose what I wanted on the itinerary without pressure or judgment. This freedom helped me to connect with nature, people and most of all myself. I am grateful for the opportunity to have shared such a wonderful experience with Karen and Gina, and the rest of the group. I recommend a Grace in Nature retreat without hesitation.”
— A.S.
“I can’t say enough about my travels with Grace in Nature. Karen Score is the epitome of grace while attending to every last detail of the entire trip, beginning to end. After extensive research and knowledge from previous travel, Karen plans for a trip full of fun, education and relaxation. On top of all that her trips are very affordable, especially considering the high end accommodations I’ve enjoyed. Don’t think twice, book the very next trip offered by Grace in Nature.”
— Extremely satisfied traveler, Carol Glansberg
“My husband and I were referred to Karen by a trusted friend. We were looking to visit India for the first time and were feeling overwhelmed and intimidated with the thought of going by ourselves. From the first time I reached out to Karen she was always quick to respond. Everything that she described in the trip description was exactly as promised. All accommodations were wonderful and each day we felt taken care of by her, Keli, Yogi and the drivers. Karen has a vast knowledge of the country and truly loves it. She said every time she arrives in India it's like returning home. Our experience with the group was unforgettable. Thank you, Karen, for sharing your love of India with us.”

“I just returned from the Peru trip and it was a dream come true! Traveling with Grace in Nature is very special because it’s a small group experience and Karen Score spends a lot of time planning and creating amazing experiences for her group — and she travels with us! That's not something you will get from the large group tours.
Machu Picchu was one place I had always wanted to see but I never could have pieced together all the travel arrangements like Karen did. I left home with expectations of seeing amazing places in Peru and was so glad that someone chose beautiful hotels and great meals for me! I came back home with memories and friendships for a lifetime!
Traveling with Grace in Nature you get more than you could ever hope for. From the very first email, to the moment you say so long to your new family of friends, Karen and Gina will make you feel comfortable, cared for and well taken care of.
YES! Travel with Grace in Nature!”

“I recently spent two weeks in India on a Grace in Nature retreat and I'm still just blown away by the whole experience! Karen's thoughtfulness, expertise and attention to detail really made for one of the greatest adventures of my life! This is something I could have never planned on my own. Literally every detail was taken care of! Missing our group something fierce as I continue to process the wonders of Rajasthan that I have so fallen in love with. I for certain will attend another retreat with Grace in Nature in the future. Highly recommend if you're looking for more than just your run-of-the-mill ‘tour’. Many thanks to Karen and her team!”

“Karen has a gift of creating an amazing trip with powerful thoughtful itineraries. She mixes in down time to encourage personal growth and exploration. On our recent trip to Costa Rica I witnessed her handle inevitable bumps in the road in a way that guests never felt them. Each outing included thoughtful planning, and the tricky aspect of transportation was never the guest's worry. She definitely puts her guests as her top priority and is absolutely selfless in the process. Best of all, Karen encourages a thoughtful connection amongst her guests, which is beautiful and so very necessary in this age. Many of us traveled as individuals and left as a family. I am hoping to enjoy more of Karen's excursions in the future.”

“I have been traveling with Grace In Nature for many years. The founder, Karen Score, organizes every little detail. She preps you with history, background, a packing list and more before you even begin your journey. If you are having trouble picking an appropriate flight, Karen's got you covered. All you have to do is show up with your passport and surrender to the flow of the trip because every detail has been planned out perfectly to accommodate all your needs. Imagine traveling without a care in the world because someone has done all the work for you! This is what a Grace In Nature retreat looks like: easy, fun, and fulfilling. Grace In Nature's mission is to give back to the communities we visit. Through volunteering, donating goods to schools and villages, and spending time getting to know the people, it cracks you open to new perspectives and an abundance of gratitude and compassion. This is the only company I will travel in a group with. Those who attend become family. We share so much through our travels and ultimately we enhance our connection to ourselves, each other and the planet. I highly recommend traveling with Grace In Nature and if you do, I'll be attending the next handful of trips! :)”

“I had an amazing experience traveling with Karen Score, the founder of Grace in Nature, to Costa Rica. Her light, and spirit, her guidance and knowledge are gentle and abundant. She truly walks with grace, providing experiences both internal and external that will shift you in the most positive and meaningful ways. I can not wait to participate in another Grace in Nature journey! Namaste.”

“We recently went on the Alaskan trip with Karen and Grace in Nature Unlimited. The trip was amazing! Loved not having to worry about anything, as Karen had all the arrangements lined up for the group. Many outings and excursions filled our days. From hikes, food tours, museums, shows, glaciers and waterfalls, boat ride to see the bears, mining for gold, and of course the Ferry to Wrangell! All were AMAZING! Karen had the groups flight itinerary’s and knew when and where to be for arrivals, as well as departures… She had meals arranged so we could spend time enjoying our delicious meals all together. ‘Free’ days were included so we could venture off and do whatever we chose to do. This was an absolutely fabulous adventure for my husband and I. Alaska was on his Bucket List, and we did it! Neither of us travel much, but we would, and are, considering joining Karen on another trip. Thanks Karen, it was a Trip of a Lifetime.”
— Nancy Youngberg
“The June-July 2019 trip to Alaska (Wrangell Island and Juneau) hosted by Grace in Nature, LLC (Karen Score with help from Diana Barnes) was delightful! It perfectly captured the intent, spirit, and content of all of Karen's trips: ‘consciously curated travel.’
I am not a first-time traveler with Karen (Costa Rica, Bimini, India) and my husband joined me on this trip. Karen has a sixth sense about how to make both experienced and novice travelers comfortable: attention to detail, small groups, unique learning experiences, perfect balance between activity and relaxation. I love discovering that exotic sounding places are also home to people just like me, and also that places not so different from home have amazing treasurers waiting to be discovered. Alaska 2019 was like that.
Trips by Grace in Nature are not just opportunities to see new and different geographic locations, they are refreshing mentally and spiritually in ways that are perhaps unexpected but can only happen when people get a chance to share their experiences with each other. I appreciate that Karen is very good at facilitating connections between travelers and the people who live in the places we visit; that's really what makes a trip memorable.”
— Sara Osborne
“Having recently travelled with Grace in Nature to India, I can highly recommend the experience from beginning to end. Information was readily available to help me ‘top' and 'tail ‘ my trip and prepare for the adventure in between. The accommodations and tours were thoughtfully and immaculately curated - no small feat when planing for groups I imagine! Karen’s professionalism, expertise, generosity of spirit and attention to detail made for a harmonious and smooth adventure - and enabled us to relax and have fun.”
— Catriona (Sydney, Australia)
You can expect a unique, quality experience.
“With a group of friends, I recently participated in a fabulous trip to southern Portugal thoughtfully designed by Grace in Nature Retreats. The experience was more than a vacation, including lodging accommodations, excursions, a private chef and his team, and daily yoga classes. Our villa was simply elegant and intimate, conducive to relaxing and connecting with others in the larger group of 16. The food was beautifully and healthfully prepared. Meals appealing to all the senses and family style eating were highlights of our time at the Villa. Excursions such as visiting fishing villages, beaches, old towns, paddling together to a deserted beach, and visiting Benagil caves all stand out. Yoga by Gina, infused with Ayurvedic knowledge, made it ideal. We experienced the culture of the Algarve with group activities and explored on our own. Karen and Gina created a trip of adventure, relaxation. introspection, and camaraderie that made this an extremely memorable experience.”

Karen curates a perfect trip—relaxation, beauty, action. There were gorgeous excursions along the Rio Formosa in the Algarve region of Portugal, allowing our group to explore the beautiful beaches along with the life of local fishermen. The charming town of Olhao was interesting and completely walkable. The final days in Lisbon flew by. We found the Portuguese to be friendly and warm. From the street art and street entertainers, the hilly, scenic streets, and the beautiful Tagus River, Lisbon brings you back to the time of western exploration to the current. Wonderful trip!
Thank you, Karen!

“I recently returned from the Grace in Nature retreat that took place in the Sacred Valley. Although one may think of this as simply a trip or a vacation, I consider it a profound experience. It is hard to explain the significance of visiting the ancient ruins of Pisaq, Moray and Machu Picchu. Each day I had the opportunity to learn about the ancient civilizations and the current life in Peru. Our guides on this adventure were open and caring about Peru and the lessons it has to offer.
The accommodations were wonderful and the itinerary was full but not overwhelming. When I reflect on this trip, one casual after dinner event that keeps coming to mind was the viewing the night sky, the stars of Southern Hemisphere, with a local astronomer. It was breath taking to see the Milky Way bookended by the Andes.
Karen and Gina guided our group, which became a family through all of our time in Peru. It was an experience of a lifetime and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have shared it with such wonderful people. I would recommend this adventure for all!”

“I booked my trip to Costa Rica with Grace in Nature. At the time, I did not know Karen or Gina or anyone else that was going on the trip. I just knew that I really needed to get away and the trip being offered sounded like just what I was looking for.
It’s hard to express in words just how much I loved this trip. I always felt safe and cared for. Karen and Gina could not have been nicer and the outings that included with the trip were exactly The kind of outings that I love. I learned so much about not only the local culture, but about myself. Everything was interesting. While feeling safe, I was allowed to explore outside of my comfort zone with new experiences. I made new friends because the other people on the trip were like minded, kind, outgoing people. I feel as though I have made lifelong friends with some of them.
You can make of these trips what you want; you can try everything and be very adventurous, or you can hang back and relax and just enjoy the beauty. I cannot wait for my next adventure with this group and with Karen and Gina through Grace in Nature. I highly recommend any of the trips they offer!”

“The trip you planned and created for all of us was so incredible, Karen! Definitely one to remember with all of the excursions and opportunities to learn and share with others. I definitely appreciated and loved the Seva project! I loved the morning yoga. I loved where we stayed, getting to explore the beach and the nearby city, I enjoyed getting tours of the national park, the nature rescue, of Paul’s cacao farm and Veronica’s home! The rafting was an excellent experience, the guides were very experienced themselves! Oh and the Adventure Inn was wonderful!!
It’s so exciting that you have two more retreats on the calendar!! I will definitely be looking for more opportunities to join you!
A perfect mixture of adventure, exploration both within myself and outdoors, yoga practice and relaxation. This retreat allowed for strangers to come together into a space as a family, it encouraged us to tune into ourselves and nature, and it nurtured the love and grace within us all. I would recommend a retreat with Grace in Nature to everyone and I look forward to my next one!
I love you and am so thankful to be a part of this group!”

“Don’t think about it. Just do it!
Karen plans every detail from seamless transfers, top notch accommodations, wonderful meals and incredible excursions. You will not have to think or worry about any aspect of your trip. My experience far exceeded my expectations.
Plenty of time to explore on your own or rest. Many activities and excursions offered but no pressure to participate. Just kindness, support and understanding every step of the way.
Beautiful, intelligent yoga classes offered by Gina.
You will feel encouraged, rested and refreshed.
I can not recommend more highly.
After traveling with Karen and Gina, it is the only way I ever want to travel.”

“From the city of Delhi to the wilds of Ranthambore onto the breathtaking beauty of the Taj Mahal, Karen Score and Grace in Nature led us on a Grand magical adventure. Karen’s passion to provide an experience that goes to the heart of a place is what makes her trips so very special. The people we met, the places we stayed, the sights we saw will live within me forever! Thank you Karen, Yogi and Keli. Their combined expertise and caring gave me an understanding of India that I believe is unique and one that I think can only be found with them, do yourself a favor, go on a Grace in Nature trip, you will learn and experience so much about our world and our place in it.”
— M.W.
“A visit to Costa Rica that went so far above anything I expected that it seems as though I’m still there!! I’m already planning for Alaska and Tuscany. I want to add that because of everything that Karen arranged it was more than fun, it was an incredible learning experience. A great part of that experience was coming together and sharing so much with 10 “strangers”!! As I said before, I can’t wait until “our” next adventure!”
— M.N.
“The trip to Alaska through Grace in Nature was truly an experience of a lifetime. I’m typically the planner in my family, so it was nice to let go and let someone else take care of everything for once. Karen and Diana created a fun, educational, exciting and insightful itinerary that allowed us to experience many of the local sites, learn about the history and culture of the area, and become immersed in the community of Wrangell. The trip challenged me to go outside of my comfort zone when we went to the AnAn Bear Observatory. It was among the highlights of the trip! Other highlights for me included time on the overnight ferry from Juneau to Wrangell whale watching and reflecting while gazing at the beautiful surroundings, enjoying the 4th of July happenings within the small community of Wrangell, and spending time with my mom and the rest of our group as we hiked, dined, practiced yoga, talked and laughed.
Alaska is a beautiful place to visit; Karen Score/Grace in Nature and Diana Barnes allowed us to experience Alaska’s beauty, culture, food and drink, wilderness, warmth, community, and love.”

“When I first saw this trip to India come up I thought, well, I’ve never been to India and it wasn’t really someplace that I would get to on my own so I simply decided, I’m there! I’ve been on several retreats with Grace in Nature and there’s something about these trips that seems to bring together a great group of people (explorers!).
Arriving in Delhi was just the beginning, finding that we would be traveling to several cities in different regions of India added to the adventure. We visited many beautiful sites from the Jama Masjid (largest mosque in India) and The City Palace and Palace Museum in Udaipur to the Monkey Temple and the Taj Mahal, one of the 7 Wonders of the World! All were spellbinding. Especially the Taj Mahal, how many times have you seen pictures of the Taj Mahal and then to be standing in front of it! I had to touch it just to make sure I was really there!!
We also visited the Sandipani School for Girls in Vrindavan. The girls were beautiful, all dressed in their school uniforms and after they got comfortable with us it was great to get so many hugs from them! It was sad to hear that when they returned home at the end of their day they would be going back to very poor neighborhoods. That is something that has really stayed with me; how we could be going through some very beautiful, opulent neighborhoods and a little later be going through some very poor neighborhoods where we were being asked for 10 Rupees (14 cents) by children on the street.
At the beginning of this trip we were all asked to pick a word that we would take with us on this trip; mine was “Learn.” Having never been to India, I thought it would be interesting to keep that word on my mind. Well, I learned about the wealth and poverty, about the many beautiful cities and sites that we visited, about some of the wonderful people we met, and I learned how to ride a camel and an elephant!! (Well, maybe learned is not the right word, I guess I really just learned how not to fall off of them!) It was great!!!”

“I just experienced the most amazing yoga retreat in Costa Rica with Grace in Nature retreats. Led by Karen Score and Gina Benson we had the best 9 days in one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
The combination of the natural wild beauty of the rainforests and Caribbean beaches while we experienced fascinating excursions, daily yoga, kirtan, ecstatic dance, amazing fresh healthy food, kind beautiful local people along with our amazing group of yogis made for a unforgettable vacation.
The place we stayed was high up in the rainforest called Samasati Retreat. Scott and his staff were phenomenal. Helpful, kind, generous. They made the best food and were always there with a smile and open heart. The place itself was breathtaking. Getting there was a journey in and of itself, but WAY worth it!!
I can not say enough about Karen Score and her skills at planning this all out to create a magical experience. Her calm loving demeanor kept us all feeling safe and at peace with all we did. We all bonded over the 9 days which is remarkable with 18 people!!! So many wonderful memories and sweet moments were created. I will definitely be joing another "Grace in Nature" yoga retreat. Hopefully in Peru.
Thank you Karen for it ALL! And thank you for asking me to teach ecstatic dance .... it was so much fun!!!!”
— Jeanette Fultz
“Thank you so much for sharing India with me. I love it so much, despite the mayhem and the messiness of it all — the beauty of the people, culture and food shines forth in my vision and experience. It challenges me and makes me re-think my western biases; and it expresses a kind of magical chaos theory that is inexplicable.”
— Kate Reddy
Comfortable accommodations!
“I recently went to Costa Rica on a Grace in Nature retreat and it was fabulous! Karen saw to every detail, our accommodations were private and very comfortable, the food was fresh and yummy, and overall things were extremely relaxing. All the excursions were unique, educational, and fun. The group I was with “ hit it off “ right from the start and I miss them all already. Things could not have gone better! Can’t wait to book another trip with Grace in Nature.”

"About India! What can I say? The trip was FABULOUS from start to finish. There was so much to see and do, and the accommodations and food were amazing. For the first time traveler to India, this trip provided a completely stress free experience. For the return traveler, there were so many new experiences. Grace in Nature provided a high end soup to nuts experience, and I highly recommend Karen Score and her team for their commitment to creating and delivering exciting and unique travel experiences.”

“Returned from a retreat in Costa Rica. The experience exceeded my expectations! The 8-day retreat was professionally organized and executed by Karen Score. The daily yoga sessions were of the highest quality and the excursions were of great value. I will continue to follow Grace in Nature and partake in future retreats.”

“From the beginning this trip was magical... the view from the plane as we approached and then descended into Juneau was breathtaking – the multiple snowcapped mountain peaks, the Juneau icefield, the waters of the Inner Passage, the clouds at sunset (11:00pm).
I enjoyed this trip thoroughly and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Karen and Diana worked well as a team co-leading the experience. Having organized and lead a number of trips, Karen not only does a first rate job of arranging everything but strikes a nice balance between interesting group activities and plenty of free time to follow your own nose or just chill out and recoup. She also brings a genuine sense of caring and respect for each trip member, trying to understand and relate to each person on their own terms. Bravo, Karen, for a job well done! And thanks to both Diana and Karen for organizing and leading this adventure.”

“In March of 2023, I had the pleasure of joining Karen Score in India on what was most definitely a trip of a lifetime. As a retired teacher and lifelong learner, I never dreamed I would be standing in places I enthusiastically shared all those years with students in the classroom. Karen made that dream a reality for me. She has a way of effortlessly bringing people of all walks of life together to share adventures. Karen's friends/guides in India became our friends, as they safely and joyfully led us throughout Rajasthan. As I peruse the many photos from the trip weeks later, I am transported back to the wonderful sites and sounds of an incredible country with amazing palaces/temples, delicious food, kind people, beautiful animals, colorful clothing, gorgeous jewelry, fabulous music and so much more. Thank you Karen, for sharing your love of all things India with us.... I look forward to joining you on other adventures in the future.”
